Highlanders Claim Crowns, Pie Auction This Week

Bantam Taden Sundeen with the FALL on his way to another CHAMPIONSHIP at the Sidney Invitational.

Sidney, MT 2/23/19- Nearly 5 dozen Highlanders made the trip east this weekend to compete in the always tough Eagle Invitational in Sidney. To say the Highlanders had a DOMINATING performance would be an understatement. The Highlanders crowned 20 TOTAL CHAMPIONS and had 42 top 3 performers. The Highlanders posted an impressive 72 pins, 128 wins and a tourney best 68% winning percentage. That performance was good enough to claim the team TOURNEY CHAMPIONSHIP with 200 team points. Middle School aged wrestlers Jaydeen Hanshew, Jack Cornwell, Ethan Nickels, Kohl Kittleson and Mayson Donaldson made the trek to compete with Team Delta Force at the Belgrade Duals. Delta Force DOMINATED the event; came away with a 6-0 team record and claimed the tourney championship. Things are shaping up nicely for the Glasgow Wrestling Club heading into the State tournament in a couple weeks. Next weekend the Highlanders will compete at the Glendive Invitational tournament and Middle School State @ Lewistown.
