Casper, WY, January 25, 2020- Eighteen Highlanders made the trek south to compete at the prestigious Wild West Championships in Casper, Wyoming this past weekend.  Nine of the competitors placed in the top 8, which is an amazing accomplishment.  Congrats to ALL the wrestlers that competed.

This Saturday marks the annual Glasgow Wrestling Club Invitational held at the Glasgow High School gymnasium.  The Parade of Athletes kicks off the event at 9:15 and wrestling begins shortly after at 9:30.  Please do your best and come out and support these amazing young athletes!

Havre, MT, 1/18/20- The Highlanders took to the road this past weekend for the Havre Pre-Pony Rumble. Posting an astounding 62% winning percentage, the Highlanders finished a close second to the host Havre squad, in a field of 12 total teams. The young Glasgow grapplers also posted an impressive 55 pins on the weekend. Those totals were good enough for 15 Champions and 43 TOP 3 place winners. Overall, the Highlanders secured 49 place winners. Next week a group of future Scotties will head south to the prestegious Wild West tournament in Casper, WY.

Miles City, MT , 1/12/20– The Highlanders 2020 season started with a bang this weekend in Miles City at the prestigious “Little Cowboy” event. With over 500 area wrestlers packed into the Custer County High School (45 Highlanders), this event made for some early season fire works, unfamiliar opponents, first time experiences and outstanding performances . These young Glasgow wrestlers answered the bell with limited early season practice time and stiff out-of-division competition for a third place team finish out of 19 teams. After the dust settled, the Highlanders crowned 32 top four place winners, 18 finalists and 8 overall champions.
