Wolf Point, MT, 2/22/20– The Highlanders made the short trip east to Wolf Point this past weekend and joined over 400 area wrestlers in competition. Your Highlanders once again dominated the 14 team field with 90 wins, 63% winning percentage and 943 total match points, all tournament bests. A number of our Middle School aged wrestlers also competed at the prestigious Cyclops tournament in Butte. At the end of the weekend the Highlanders crowned (19) Champions, (34) top three medalists and 46 total place winners. This weekend the Highlanders will be competing in the Brodie Gorder Memorial dual tournament (Friday) and individual tournament (Saturday). Williston, ND, 2/17/20– This weekend carried 45 young Highlanders east to oil country in Williston, ND for the Zach Anderson Memorial Open. Nearly 500 wrestlers packed the house at the “Well” at Willston State College for this annual highly competitive event. The Highlanders compiled an impressive 96 wins (61 coming via pin) and a 62% winning percentage. They also compiled the 2nd most match points, an example of their super aggressive nature, and finished in 4th place in the 30 team field. Tate Lehner, Kennedy Flaten, Raiden Olmstead, Hunter Pierce, Taden Sundeen, Jaxson Kemp, Rivers Sugg, Jack Morehouse, Levi Overvold and Jaydeen Hanshew were ALL crowned champions. The Highlanders also earned 9 2nd place, 9 3rd place and 10 4th place award winners. 2/9/20, Worden, MT- A day after the high school aged Scotties competed at the Eastern B/C Divisional tournament, a contingent of 21 young Highlanders followed them to the Project gymnasium to compete in the Phil Schmidt Memorial tournament. These youngsters came out of the gates strong and finished with 7 total champions and 18 top 3 finishes. Those totals were good enough for a tournament tops 71% winning percentage, topping the 20 team field in winning percentage and placing 3rd overall as a team.

This weekend the Highlanders will travel to Williston, ND for the Zach Anderson Memorial Open for some tough out-of-state competition. Check out the complete results below.

2/1/20, Glasgow, MT- The Highlanders came out firing on all cylinders this past weekend at Scottie Gymnasium. 68 total Highlanders competed, with 19 champions, 10 runners up and 10 more third place winners. 8 more finished 4th. Overall the Highlanders finished with a 62% winning percentage and 79 pins. Those totals were good enough to claim the TOP team trophy in the 13 team event. The Glasgow Wrestling Club would like to thank the WHOLE community for coming out and supporting these youngsters.
